Veteran’s Day 2015 Discounts and Savings

As my way of saying THANK YOU to those that have given so much for our country, I have compiled a list of discounts being offered by businesses and restaurants in the Kansas City area.  I am sure there are more – these are the ones I could find online.  Since they were found online, you may want to confirm details before you visit the business.

  • Ameristar Casino: Free buffet for active duty and veterans at Horizon’s Buffet from 11:30-3 or 4-9 with proof of service on November 11.
  • Applebees: Veterans and active duty military, show proof of service and get a free meal November 11.Drink not included.
  • Bar Louie: Free appetizer or entrée for veterans and active duty military on Tuesday, November 10,and Wednesday, November 11.
  • Bob Evans: Veterans and active duty military can eat a free breakfast any time of day November 11.Choices include hotcakes, brioche french toast, sunrise breakfast, country biscuit breakfast and mini sampler breakfast.
  • Bonefish Grill: Active and retired service members with valid military ID get free Bang Bang Shrimp on November 11.
  • Buca di Beppo: 15% discount (call to confirm – only found this listed one place)
  • California Pizza Kitchen: Free selected pizza, salad or pasta entrée with proof of service.
  • Chili’s: Enjoy a Free entrée at participating locations
  • Cracker Barrel: Veterans will receive a complimentary Double Chocolate Fudge Coca-Cola Cake dessert on November 11.
  • Denny’s: Active, inactive and retired military personnel are invited to enjoy a free Build-Your-Own Grand Slam on November 11from 5 a.m. to noon.
  • Dollar General— Active duty service members, veterans and their family get an 11% discount on qualifying purchases on November 11.
  • 54th Street Grill & Bar: Free entrée up to $12 for active duty and Veterans (dine in only) November 11.
  • Firestone Complete Auto Care— Between November 8 and 15, veterans and active duty personnel receive an additional 10% off the lowest advertised price of any automotive service.
  • Golden Corral: Military Appreciation Night is November 11 from 5 -9 p.m. Active military and veterans get dinner on the house.
  • Goodcents Subs & Pastas: Free 8” or signature sub on November 11.
  • Gordon Biersch— Veterans and active military personnel receive a free appetizer on November 11.
  • Great Clips– On November 11, customers who come in for a service can get a free haircut card to give to their favorite veteran. Veterans can also receive a free haircut or get the free haircut card. Haircuts are redeemable until Dec. 31.
  • Home Depot— Home Depot offers a 10% discount to all veterans on November 11. Home Depot offers the 10% discount year round to for active duty and retirees.
  • Hooters:All veterans and active duty military get a free entrée on November 11.
  • HyVee: Free breakfast from 7 a.m. to 11 a.m. with in-store dining at supermarket
  • IHOPFree Red, White and Blue pancakes(glazed strawberries, blueberry compote and whipped cream) to veterans and active duty military on November 11, 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.
  • IKEA: Veterans with ID get a free entree November 8-11. (Call to check –vary by location)
  • JCPenney— Current and former military personnel and their family members receive an extra 5% off in stores November 4-11.
  • Johnny Carino’s — Veterans and active duty military get a free meal with their choice of unlimited soup or salad from a Veterans Day Menu on November 11.
  • Kansas City Zoo: All military (retired, active, veterans) with valid ID and immediate families living in the same household receive complimentary admission on November 11.
  • Krispy Kreme: A free doughnut and a small coffee will be given to veterans and active duty military. No ID required. November 11.Participating locations only.
  • LaMar’s Donuts: Free coffee and donut
  • Little Caesar’s: Free $5 lunch combo, which includes four slices of deep dish pizza, and a 20-ounce Pepsi product on November from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
  • Logan’s Roadhouse— In addition to the 10% military discount offered every day, military and former military guests will also receive a free dessert on November 11.
  • Lowe’s— All veterans receive a 10% discount on November 11. The offer is available in stores only.
  • McCormick & Schmick’s: Free meal for veterans with proof of service. Sunday, November 8.
  • Old Country Buffet — Current and former service members receive a free lunch at participating locations from 11 am until 2 pm on November 11.
  • National WWI Museum & Memorial: To honor those who served, free museum admission for the community on Wednesday 11-11-15. A Veterans Day ceremony will be held at 10am.
  • Olive Garden: On November 11,veterans and active duty military get a free entrée from this list: cheese ravioli, spaghetti with meat sauce, lasagna, chicken parmigiana, garlic rosemary chicken, and unlimited soup, salad and breadsticks. Family members dining with the veteran or military member get 10% off their meals.
  • On the BorderNovember 11, veterans and active duty military members get a free “Create Your Own Combo” meal, which features soup or salad, tacos, tostadas, enchiladas, and other options.
  • Orange Leaf— Veterans and active duty military get a free cup of froyo on November 11.
  • Outback Steakhouse: Active and retired military members will get a free Bloomin’ Onion and beverage by showing military ID on November 11.Also, they, and their families, get 15% off their bill from November 12 to December 31.
  • O’Charley’s: Free $9.99 meal to veterans on Monday, Nov. 9.Free pie to veterans November 11.
  • Perkins: Veterans can receive a free  Magnificent Seven meal on November 11
  • Red Lobster: Veterans and active duty military members get a free appetizer or dessert Monday November 9, through Thursday, November 12.
  • Red Robin:Free Red’s Tavern double burger and bottomless steak fries for veterans and current service members. 
  • Rock and Brews— Veterans and active military personnel receive a complimentary pulled pork sandwich with a side choice throughout the day on November 11.
  • Ruby Tuesday: Veterans, active military and reserve get a free appetizer November 11.
  • Ryan’s— Current and former service members receive a free lunch at participating locations from 11 am until 2 pm on November 11.
  • Shoney’s: All veterans and active duty military get a free All American Burger on November 11.
  • Sport Clips— Participating locations are offering veterans and active duty service members free haircuts on November 11.
  • SPIN Pizza: Free Mini pizza with soup or salad from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. on November 11.
  • Starbucks:Free tall coffee for active duty, veterans and military spouses on November 11.
  • Texas Roadhouse: Free lunch for active, retired and former military members on November 11. Choose from 10 entrées, and also receive a free Coca-Cola product, tea or coffee.
  • Village Inn: Free breakfast with choice of pancakes, Belgian waffle or French Toast
  • World Market – Active duty, retirees, veterans, Reserves, Guard, DOD and spouses get 20% off entire purchase November 7-11.
