Raintree Lake Living in Lee’s Summit, MO

I recently had the opportunity to view two very different homes for sale in Raintree Lake. One was a FSBO, and the other is a foreclosure (REO). They are about as different as you can imagine – yet they both have one thing in common: Raintree Lake living!   Raintree Lake is community in South Lee’s Summit, Missouri, designed with outdoor living in mind.  Presently over 32% of the entire Development is dedicated as public use areas for all residents to enjoy. The community features a privately owned 240 acre lake (220 navigable acres) stocked with largemouth bass, white crappie, bluegill, and channel catfish.   Pontoons and speed boats share the water.  Swimmers can choose from the no-wake areas along the shoreline or the Olympic size, zero-entry pool next to the clubhouse.  Walker, runners and bikers enjoy miles of trails and sidewalks throughout the community.  The lake straddles the county line which means the North side is in Jackson County, and the South side is in Cass County. Both of these homes are on the North side, which means they are in the Lee’s Summit school district. Cass County homes are part of the Raymore-Peculiar school district. The For Sale By Owner property is water front – on the Duck Pond.  The owner has taken good care of the property, making recent improvements such as: paint, new carpet, replacing some windows and much more.  It is a 1.5 story home featuring 4 bedrooms, 3.5 baths, 2-car garage, formal dining room, two … Continue reading

Sandi’s Daily Home Review – Lee’s Summit Realtor’s thoughts on listings and FSBOs

Hi! For those that don’t know me, my name is Sandi Reed, and I am a Realtor with Home Professionals Realty in Lee’s Summit, Missouri.  Lee’s Summit is a major suburb of Kansas City, voted by Money Magazine as one of America’s best small cities.  Home Professionals Realty is proud to be Lee’s Summit’s hometown real estate office for over 15 years.  I have been a Realtor for over 6 years. As my business has grown and evolved, I have made the commitment to become THE real estate authority in Lee’s Summit.  In order to do that, I need to work and study harder to gain complete knowledge of our market. One of the ways I do that is by previewing properties.  Not just properties listed with Realtors, but ALL properties on the market. When I work with a buyer I believe my job is to find the BEST home for them – not just the best home on MLS.       People like to hear about what homes are on the market. Sometimes it’s simply curiosity. Sometimes it’s because they know someone thinking of making a move. Why do you think internet home searching is so popular?      Sometimes however, pictures don’t do a home justice.  And sometimes pictures make a home look better than it really is!  That is why I decided to start Sandi’s Daily Home Review.  Each day I will share my thoughts on a home that I have viewed. If you like what I write … Continue reading
